Penticton Foundry Milestones

In a continuing effort to maintain and improve upon our foundry process, Penticton Foundry has made many changes over the years.

2011/2012

  • Built an additional core room
  • Installed a new box shaker
  • Developed and produced new products (Clamshell Assemblies)
  • Installed a backup power generator for the melt deck
  • Upgraded/extended cranes for pouring floor
  • Increased crane tonnage for floor moulding area
  • Upgraded white iron grinding cells

2010/2011

  • Purchased a new mixer for the AMC (Automated Moulding Center)
  • Installed a new roof on the primary foundry building

2009/2010

  • Extended the 10T crane on the pouring floor
  • Plant I
    • Purchased the neighboring building
    • Installed a new roof on the building
    • Installed new 5T cranes

2007/2008

  • New AJAX power pack, for the melt deck
  • New transformer & housing unit for AJAX

2006/2007

  • Added an additional 10T crane to the pouring floor.

2005/2006

  • Designed and built the new AMC (Automated Moulding Center)

2004/2005

  • Purchased new 10T cranes for the pouring floor
  • Purchased a new compressor

2003/2004

  • Built an additional pattern storage building

2002/2003

  • Purchased a new 1,000 Lb mixer
  • Updated the pouring crane (5T)

2001/2002

  • Purchased a core blower for the core room
  • Purchased an excavator for the scrap yard

2000/2001

  • Purchased a new spectrometer
